- £60,000 per year Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday A client is seeking two experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their team in Wakefield.
This role is crucial to ensuring the financial success of construction projects, working across all project stages-from pre-construction to completion.
Key Responsibilities: ? Cost Estimation
- Assess project drawings/specifications to calculate material, labour, and equipment costs.
? Budget Management
- Track and manage project budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
? Procurement
- Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
? Contract Administration
- Assist with contracts, assess variations/claims, and ensure compliance.
? Value Engineering
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
? Risk Management
- Monitor and mitigate financial and operational risks.
? Cost Control
- Implement measures to track and optimise spending.
? Final Account Settlement
- Ensure payments and accounts are finalised upon project completion.
Essential Requirements: ? A proven track record in construction quantity surveying ? Minimum 5 years of surveying experience ? A valid CSCS Card ? A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field ? A UK driving licence ?
