You could be in a full time permanent position teaching GCSE & Functional Skills Maths in a further education College that gives you ongoing training and development to help you progress in your career, and the opportunity to achieve a PGCE through the college in your first two years.
You’re an enthusiastic and professional individual wanting to join a well established team to teach learners aged 16 – 19 a subject you are passionate about.
You’ll primarily teach vocational learners aged 16-18, with a growing provision of part-time adult learners.
This is a challenging but exciting and rewarding area of the College and you would play a key role in supporting vocational learners with their development and to help them progress onto higher courses or the workplace.
You would join a team of skilled teachers with a wealth of experience and knowledge, who are pro-active in sharing best practice with the team in order to engage and enthuse resit learners.
You will preferably possess a degree in Maths or a related subject, with experience of teaching or tutoring Maths GCSE and/or Functional Skills, and have the ability to engage and enthuse 16 to 18 year olds from a variety of vocational disciplines.
If you do not currently possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, we will fund and support you to obtain this over the two year period of the course.
Salary: £31,357 to £43,729 per annum
