As the Brand and Marketing Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to deliver a brand development programme that will take The Charity’s profile to new heights.
This role is an exciting mix of brand marketing, multidisciplinary project management, stakeholder engagement, and innovation as you seek to drive awareness of The Charity amongst priority audiences.
You’ll manage your team of 1 to launch critical marketing campaigns and projects, delivering comprehensive 360-degree marketing plans and work with our incredible Support and Fundraising teams to drive us further, faster towards a cure. You’ll oversee our brand insights, ensuring trackers are in place, providing value for money and reporting regularly to the Head of Marketing and other senior colleagues to influence decisions across the organisation that can impact awareness and perceptions.
The Charity prides itself on its collaborative ways of working and your team will play a vital role as the link between the Marketing team and the rest of the organisation on projects that require marketing support. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, combining excellent strategic thinking and planning with the flexibility to seize on new opportunities as and when they arise.
Location: While contracted to our office in Fleet, Hampshire, our team supports a blend of office and home working provided you have adequate broadband and IT capability, with an average of 2-3 days in the office each week.
Working hours: This role is 37.5 hours per week, with some out of hours working.
Benchmarked salary: c.£45,450 (dependent on level)
Please note this role is covering maternity for a 10-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of Marketing to review and develop our brand strategy, aligning with the overall long-term organisation strategy.
* Ensure all external communications are aligned with the brand strategy.
* Lead brand insights, tracking and evaluation work, reporting back to colleagues and influencing strategies and projects across the organisation.
* Work across The Charity to deliver end-to-end brand campaigns and marketing activations for organisational priorities.
* Take responsibility for multi-channel marketing campaign strategies and annual plans that will deliver against The Charity’s objectives.
* Be the link between the Marketing team and project leads.
* Support marketing planning and delivery as part of a multi-disciplinary team to acquire new supporters – using insight and data to understand our audience’s needs and motivations to build long-term relationships.
* Line management of the brand and marketing team.
* Budget management.
* Define campaign KPIs and measure progress.
The post holder will also:
* Have close working relationships with Managers and Heads across The Charity.
* Contribute to achieving the objectives of The Brain Tumour Charity.
* Undertake any additional and ad hoc tasks as required.
* Participate in team meetings and other meetings as required.
* Monitor and evaluate activities and provide written reports.
* Represent The Charity at external events in a professional manner.

* Ensure all records are held in compliance with GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice and The Brain Tumour Charity policies.
Experience:
* Significant experience in a brand, marketing or communications role with line management.
* Demonstrable track record of developing and managing a high profile, impactful brand, and developing and implementing campaigns or communications projects.
* An excellent understanding of different marketing disciplines, especially digital and through-the-line marketing.
* Experience of branding and brand development, including delivering a rebrand or significant brand refresh involving multiple stakeholders.
* Experience of using brand tracking or other analytical software such as Power BI.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Excellent relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels of seniority.
* Ability to take a proactive, logical, pre-emptive approach to tasks and adept at problem solving.
* Strong research and analytical skills.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* A high degree of creativity, with evidence of successfully putting ideas into practice.
* Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
