About the role:
The Procurement Partner plays a vital role in shaping multi-year strategies and business plans for the Division, ensuring the Procurement vision is effectively executed alongside key division colleagues. This role is critical to the divisional operations leader, emphasizing strategic planning, execution, and implementation. It aids in formulating and implementing long-term strategies to enhance quality, reduce cycle/response times, incorporate technology, manage risks, and minimize total costs. The role also focuses on risk mitigation, technological adoption, process and system improvements, and cost reduction.
Scope of Responsibilities:
* Sets and enforces both short-term and long-term goals, strategic plans, policies, and procedures for the Division, in alignment with the Group and divisional leadership.
* Converts Division’s business and Procurement goals into actionable targets for Category management teams and oversees their contributions.
* Achieves key objectives (Annual Operating Plan - AOP), including delivery, quality, service, cost, innovation, and growth commitments for Division Procurement.
* Works with business partners across the Division to coordinate and execute long-term strategies.
* Collaborates with Category Managers, R&D, and Engineering to achieve annual value improvements and foster competitive advantages.
* Manages business projects such as M&A integration.
* Provides insights on make-or-buy decisions, supplier selection, and management for product innovation projects and vendor transitions, monitors execution, and communicates outcomes to senior leaders.
* Ensures project alignment with business colleagues within the Group and Division.
* Acts as the contact point for implementing Enterprise Processes like Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk, and Supplier Management.
Technical Responsibilities:
* Identifies supplier technical capabilities for current and future product portfolios, aiding in supplier scouting.
* Collects Division business requirements and ensures compliance with regulatory mandates.
* Monitors and ensures compliance for indirect materials.
* Employs a scouting approach to engage R&D and Commercial partners early in the NPI process, monitors the product pipeline (LCM), and supports product platforming.
* Serves as the primary contact for Procurement within the Division.
* Compiles, analyzes, and reports divisional procurement metrics for business reviews.
Leadership Responsibilities:
* Aligns Procurement strategy with the Divisional Leadership team.
* Ensures procurement adds value to the business and supports Division initiatives.
* Manages division input for category strategies (Global, Group-specific).
* Engages with supplier leadership to assist the Category Management team and Division in meeting quality, cost, innovation, growth, and compliance targets.
* Supports the development and implementation of standardized processes, work practices, and the use of tools and technologies.
Experience:
* 8+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing management.
* Demonstrated significant experience in ESI and NPI processes with third parties and outsourced development.
* Progressive career in manufacturing operations and procurement with substantial international experience.
* Strong background in procurement and sourcing.
