About the roleWe are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Trial Coordinator to join the Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (SITU), working within a multi-disciplinary environment in order to develop, implement and run clinical trial activities. You will be based at the Botnar Research Centre in Headington, Oxford but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.The Clinical Trial Coordinator will join the established Trial Management Team within SITU, supporting the activities of the clinical trials and working closely with trial managers and data managers. This post will involve ensuring the effective conduct of the study in accordance with the trial protocol and regulatory and institutional procedures where appropriate. You will manage the trial email account, maintain trial files and will help manage activities of the participating clinical centres, which may include conducting site visits and addressing training needs where appropriate.About youThe successful candidate will be educated to A level or equivalent in English, Maths and a Science related subject. You will have previous experience in clinical research and working knowledge of the relevant ethical, legislative and research governance requirements relevant to clinical trials as well as familiarity with medical terminology. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as good organisational and problem-solving skills. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to self-motivate and work well within a team environment. A willingness to travel to trial sites and meetings nationally is essential.This full-time post is available immediately and is fixed-term until 2nd January 2025 in the first instance.
