What we do:
We're the market leader in the UK fresh prepared food industry - supplying meals, salads, desserts, pizza, and bread to leading grocery retailers including Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose.
About the role:
Ideally, you will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment and have successfully led teams in a fast-paced production setting. You will have a strong understanding of retailer expectations and how we meet them.
As a great leader, you will be capable of inspiring and engaging your team, while fully understanding the demands and pressures of a factory environment.
About you:
* Pro-actively manage Health & Safety
* Lead and drive standards of quality, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping within your area through Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.)
* Manage performance of your teams
* Own the training & development of all levels of team including managers
* Manage the NPD process within your area
* Challenge and introduce new KPIs to drive performance
* Plan, organise, and measure labour and material requirements
* Manage the communication process to ensure that the workforce in their area is well informed on relevant business news
* Support and encourage the Bakkavör values and a positive culture within your area, whilst fostering good employee relations
* Responsible for the recruitment of direct reports and involvement in all staff recruitment within your area
* Manage projects and drive change across all shifts
