Support Worker
Newport, Pontypool, Cwmbran
Up to £13.44 p/hr
Shifts available: Days & waking nights
*Must have a full UK Driving License*
The Role
We’re looking for people who are dedicated to supporting young people transitioning into adulthood and readying them for leaving care. You will support them by directly working with young people to overcome their barriers and set and achieve their personal goals.
As well as building strong relationships with the service users, as a support worker, you will:
1. Deliver high standards of care in line with individual and person-centered care plans
2. work with service users to develop and encourage independence where suitable
3. Provide physical support which may include helping with household tasks
4. Provide emotional support for an individual and their families.
5. Support and help with health care needs, including routine checks

In order to be considered for this amazing opportunity to support Young People you will need to:
12. Be committed and passionate about supporting young people in a residential setting
13. Must hold a full UK Driving license
14. Be able to commit to any of the following shift patterns – 8am to 8pm/ 8pm to 8am (rota’s vary per service)
15. Be able to undertake an enhanced DBS check
