Description As a Fitter/Deburrer, in Flexibles Glenrothes, you will be essential in producing top-quality, precision-machined components ready for subsea and bespoke applications. You’ll focus on finishing, deburring, polishing, and securely packing components, ensuring products meet both internal and external customer requirements. This role requires technical attention to detail, adherence to health and safety standards, and a proactive approach to workspace organization and quality improvement. Your experience in handling metal parts and ability to interpret technical drawings will help support productivity and quality standards in a collaborative manufacturing environment. This position requires a willingness to work both day and night shifts as part of a rotating schedule. Key Responsibilities: Deburr, polish, and clean components for customer-ready delivery, maintaining high standards of quality. Pack components securely for shipment, ensuring they meet all safety and quality requirements. Load and unload transport vehicles with a forklift as required, ensuring safe handling. Operate hand tools and machinery safely, following HSE and housekeeping standards. Interpret engineering drawings to find efficient, cost-effective finishing solutions without compromising quality. Plan and schedule work based on weekly production targets, identifying and addressing any challenges proactively. Report any quality or process issues to the chargehand and assist with root cause analysis as needed. Collaborate on process improvements and actively participate in quality and efficiency initiatives. Assist in maintaining KPIs for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Engagement, and suggest improvements. Support the team by working overtime as needed to cover for holidays or absences. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Experience in handling and working with metal parts. Proficiency with hand, air, and vibrating tools. Experience of de-burring metal component parts. Desirable: Forklift license (training can be provided). Experience in oil and gas manufacturing or related field. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
