Theatre Practitioner RN/ODP/ Scrub
Band 5 -Permanent
Due to the expansion of our Theatre activity we are seeking enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals to join the Theatre Team. The posts will give successful candidates an opportunity to work in Theatres in Scrub, Anaesthetics & Recovery. The post holders will be responsible for developing skills which will enable them to assess, plan and implement care across one or more of the theatre specialist areas.
Experience of working in Theatres in Scrub, Anaesthetics or Recovery and associated specialist qualification is essential. Rotation through all areas of Theatre work is encouraged and supported. We will consider applications form the following staff groups;
-Newly Qualified Operating Department Practitioners
-Experienced Theatre Nurses/Operating Department Practitioners
• To maintain high standards of professional conduct and to promote good professional ethics throughout the Department.
• To organise the smooth running of your designated area in the absence of the Senior Nurse/ODP B6 and engender a team spirit with all members of the unit, maintaining high staff morale.
• To ensure that work is carried out in accordance with hospital policies.
• Develop to be an autonomous practitioner across all specialities Scrub, Anaesthetics and Recovery/Admissions Lounge
