Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Letchworth Garden City
We’re looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a primary team in Letchworth Garden City. The successful candidate will be supporting the teacher within the class. The school have a SEN Hub that supports autistic students are aged between 6 and 11, the students have associated behavioural and communication difficulties. Some pupils may have multiple learning difficulties.

Location: Letchworth Garden City
Pay: £22,333 to £25,576

HLTA responsibilities:
* Pupil Welfare and Safeguarding
* Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils according to the school’s policies, including safeguarding.
* Provide meaningful feedback on pupil behaviour, relationships and attitudes.
* Monitor pupils conduct and behaviour throughout the learning process and intervene to resolve highly complex, difficult or very challenging issues and to keep records of incidents, health, behaviour etc.
* To lead in the absence of any Class Teachers across the school.
* Assist the Class Teacher.
* To provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities
* Develop and implement individual plans for pupils
* Like many SEN environments; your duties are likely to vary and therefore candidates will need to be flexible and be able to lend a hand whenever required.
