About the Role
The Maternity Cover Pastoral Manager position is now available, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our school community.
* To lead Safeguarding strategies, ensuring the welfare, safety, and emotional wellbeing of our students.
* To develop and implement effective safeguarding plans to support students in maximising learning opportunities and overcoming learning barriers.
* To collaborate with leadership teams to establish functional strategies for pastoral care.
* To create anti-bullying and discrimination policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for leading on effective safeguarding and pupil welfare strategies, ensuring the safety and emotional wellbeing of our students. This includes:
* Providing detailed advice on Positive Behaviour Profiles and Behaviour Support Plans based on behaviour data.
* Maintaining records of safeguarding, health, accident, injury, and damage incidents.
* Identifying personal issues affecting student performance and informing relevant managers and staff.
* Working directly with students, families, and agencies to address barriers to learning.
* Monitoring attendance and truancy issues, devising intervention strategies, and communicating with teaching staff to improve relationships with students.
* Contributing to a multidisciplinary team to achieve best outcomes for positive behaviour support.
* Maintaining quality of positive handling support through evidence-based systems.
* Representing the school at Interagency or other professional meetings.
