Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Witham Job Type: Temporary, part-time Salary: £20 - £30 per hour Job Duties: The English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing specialised teaching and support to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in English and Maths. Duties include designing and delivering tailored lesson plans, assessing students' progress, adapting teaching methods to individual learning styles, and collaborating with school staff and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. Required Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification Specialisation in English and Maths Experience working with students with SEN Education: A Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience and empathy in working with SEN students Preferred Qualifications: Additional training in SEN teaching strategies Experience in outreach or community-based education Working Conditions: This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate student needs.
