Rullion is excited to partner with a leading innovator in advanced system integration who possesses over 50 years of project experience across highly regulated sectors. Due to expansion, our client is seeking a Project Planner with experience ideally in the energy sector.
This is a permanent role, based in Staffordshire with flexibility to work 2 days from home.
Core working hours are between 9:30 am - 3:00 pm with flexibility to start and finish around you - 37.5 hours per week.
Project Planner
This role involves supporting the project delivery team in planning and coordinating projects and program activities across a diverse portfolio. Responsibilities include scheduling project tasks, managing resources, and coordinating supply chain and logistics. Occasional visits to customer sites will be required. The ideal candidate should have experience with various project delivery models, a solid understanding of project lifecycles, and familiarity with systems integration and the Energy Market.

Duties:
* Provide detailed impact plans for assessment of variations.
* Coordination and liaison with site-based installation/commissioning teams, providing programme updates and driving progress.
* Coordination and liaison with internal (shop floor build and purchasing) and external (BOM suppliers) supply chain for provision of installation materials to the agreed plan/work schedule.
* Reporting progress, performance, and commercial information to the Programme Management team.
* Working with the Management team and Project Managers to produce and maintain detailed project plans and resource allocation plans across the portfolio.
* Assisting the sales team to provide detailed tender programmes.
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
* Proven experience using P6 or MS Project to deliver complex engineering projects.
* Proven experience & understanding of NEC contracts and how this is applied to planning.
* Good skills/experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases.
* Must be able to work under pressure, to strict deadlines, sometimes juggling multiple demands.
* Willingness to learn and be pro-active.
* Experience using Microsoft Project.
* Experience of work planning/work allocation.
* Experience of Earned Value Analysis.
* Experience of monitoring procurement, supply chain, subcontractors, and logistics.
* Experience of working on projects for National Grid and/or other large-scale electricity generating companies/transmission companies.
