- THE ROLE -
To provide technical support, advice, guidance and instruction to staff and students, for teaching, research, and other activities of the school.
- ABOUT YOU -
1. ONC/HNC or equivalent in a Computing/Engineering discipline, and/or specific qualifications or courses completed relating to the skills and equipment relevant to the post.
2. Experience and maintenance in an Engineering and/or Computing environment to include digital infrastructure setup, repair, and configuration.
3. Experience of relevant Health & Safety procedures to include completing and implementing risk assessment procedures.
4. Experience of dealing with external suppliers, technical support, and resource management for Engineering and/or Computing environment.
5. High level skills in own technical specialism to include:
1. Comprehensive workshop and/or laboratory skills.
2. Technical knowledge and experience in the use of specialist equipment.
3. Ability to provide technical guidance, advice, and instruction in the use of specialist equipment and systems to include HPC infrastructure.
6. This role may involve light lifting, travel between campuses, and work outside normal hours on occasion where necessary to meet the needs of the post.
