Teledyne GMI is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Fixed system for UK & IRELAND AREA.
The position will be located in UK, preferably close to London.
This position is responsible for profitable promotion and growth of the gas detection portfolio in The UK and Ireland area. The successful candidate will join the Teledyne Gas and Flame detection business, working in close co-operation with the EMEA Teledyne Gas and Flame Detection sales team.
The role will involve the day-to-day management of gas and flame detection distribution partners in the region in addition to supporting, consulting and building relationships with end users and engineering companies UK based.
The successful candidate will display strong sale and distributor management skills, EPC and end users knowledge, demonstrate the ability to work independently and maintain a focus on working to Teledyne Gas and Flame’s values, strategies and objectives.
This position reports directly to the EAA indirect Sales director based in France.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the gas and flame detection product portfolio via successful completion of required sales and technical training program and utilize this knowledge to promote the products to new and existing customers in UK and Ireland area.
2. Responsible for achieving agreed sales targets for the region by identifying sales opportunities in new and existing markets to meet business growth objectives.
3. Builds strong business relationships with partners in UK and Ireland. Manage and assess the performance of existing distributors. Identify and target new distribution partners for fixed gas and flame detection in the region.
4. Identify key end user accounts in the territory and implement sales plan to promote Teledyne gas and flame detection portfolio and open new direct markets.
5. Identify key Engineering companies based in UK and Ireland (even if they worked outside of this area) and promote actively Teledyne gas and flame detection portfolio.
6. Meet regularly with existing customers and distributors and prospects in sales territory to understand their evolving business needs.
7. Attend sales meetings and exhibitions in UK and Europe as part of the EMEA Sales team.
8. Conduct sales presentations, customer training and seminars.
9. Daily use of our CRM, ERP and other IT tools (in order to provide customer information, forecasts and reports).
10. Work closely with our UK based company GMI to follow and develop direct sales coming from our field service database.
11. Work effectively with other internal departments: Marketing, Inside Sales & Customer Service, Field Service, Product Management, and Application Engineering.
12. Attend conferences and professional association meetings and promote the group product solutions and brands.
13. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
