About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a BMU Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to a growing company with an increasing demand for suspended access equipment services. You will work as part of a dedicated team, attending sites throughout London and the UK to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of suspended access equipment systems. We seek candidates with an enthusiastic and proactive approach to their work. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and load testing on various permanent suspended access equipment and working at height (WAH) equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications, company policies, and current regulations. Fault find and repair equipment on-site. Respond to call-outs and entrapments promptly. Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care. Relay appropriate customer queries to office staff as required. Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, including engineer reports, test certificates, and service sheets. Essential Skills: Strong ability to follow and comply with strict safe working practices and job instructions. Reliable with excellent organisational skills. Good communication skills. Recent experience in electrical/mechanical engineering and fault finding on electrical systems. Ability to interpret electrical drawings. Capability to work at height. Numerate and literate with good attention to detail. Flexibility and a positive approach to working away from home when needed. Full clean manual driving license. Ability to work well as part of a team and under pressure. Desirable: Experience carrying out LG3 10 yearly works on BMUs. Experience fault finding on single-phase, three-phase, and control voltage systems. Experience working with hydraulics. Experience working on PLC and inverter drives.
