Job title: Engineering Change Lead
Location: Portsmouth Naval Base. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Acting as the key focal point for the scope definition and coordination of engineering design changes that will enable the integration of critical new Capabilities (systems and equipment) and sustain existing ones within the Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) Aircraft Carriers.
2. Working within and as an interface to a large and diverse team of personnel (including engineering, project and requirement managers) across industry, the Royal Navy and the MOD, who are responsible for maintaining the availability of Warships at Portsmouth Naval Base.
3. Responsible for identifying delivery periods within Ship’s programmes and establishing outline delivery plans for the design and embodiment of engineering changes, liaising closely with stakeholders across a range of disciplines (and communities) to deliver the necessary activities to time, cost and quality.
Your skills and experiences:
1. Proven experience in delivering engineering changes, with a strong background in both Engineering and Project Management.
2. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders, with excellent collaboration skills.
3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
4. Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and logistics requirements management.
5. Expertise in managing multi-disciplinary change projects, including planning, cost control, risk and opportunity management, engineering design management, equipment ship integration, testing, commissioning, and acceptance.
