The Role
Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant (Academic Support) to join the Schools on a permanent basis. The position is available from 28 April 2025 or as near to it as possible (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is full time, term time, working 36.25 hours per week with a salary range of £29,226 - £32,001. The role is based at The Mary Erskine School campus.
The postholder will be responsible for supporting all curricular activities across The Mary Erskine School and Stewart’s Melville College, and providing PA support to the Deputy Heads (Academic).
The successful candidate will be someone with previous administrative or teaching assistance experience, demonstrating excellent organisational and communication skills, both orally and in writing. They will be proficient in the full Microsoft Office package, particularly Word and Excel, with the ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Additionally, they should be independent, self-motivated, and uphold high professional and personal standards.
ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
