Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for setting the risk culture and building and implementing an Operational Risk Management Framework for our newly formed Generation business to strengthen our resilience towards risks in an increasingly complex and ever-changing world.
Welcome to Generation
You’ll be part of Generation Commercial. Here, your mission will be to ensure that the Generation business effectively identifies, assesses, manages and monitors all risks to achieve its strategic objectives. You’ll take the lead in ensuring that a common risk language is used and understood across Generation, and that there is clear accountability and consistent delegation of risk decisions. You’ll work closely with colleagues from our Enterprise Risk and Project Risk teams and with risk owners right across the Generation business, building on existing risk management processes and policies to strengthen and enhance our risk set-up.
As a department, we work in a highly collaborative way, supporting each other to develop and learn by making use of each team member’s skillset and experience.
You’ll play an important role in:
1. designing, building, implementing and maintaining a Generation Risk Management Framework that establishes governance, analysis, process and reporting requirements
2. proactively supporting the Generation business and other risk teams within Ørsted in understanding and applying the Generation Risk Management Framework
3. driving focused initiatives to strengthen risk management across Generation
4. owning the interface for Generation with the Enterprise Risk team and other risk teams across Ørsted, and supporting on the delivery of enterprise-wide assessments
5. chairing regular Generation Risk Reviews as well as a Best Practice Peer Group focused on the quantification and assessment of risks in Generation
6. nurturing and maintaining a sound risk culture across Generation.
To succeed in the role, you:
1. hold an academic degree in risk management, business administration or management, economics, or similar
2. have extensive experience in operational risk management, preferably working with major infrastructure assets
3. are experienced in designing and implementing operational risk management frameworks and reporting on risks, preferably at the enterprise/business unit level and in the energy industry
4. demonstrate great stakeholder management and influencing skills and have good experience in proactively collaborating with management and specialists in different areas of the business to drive initiatives forward
5. have strong analytical skills and the ability to work with, exploit, and analyse data
6. have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to tailor your approach and present complex information to broad audiences.
