The Opportunity: Are you an experienced CNC Engineer with a sharp eye for precision and expertise in Fanuc programming ? We’re recruiting for a leading precision engineering business manufacturing knife rolls used in slitting machines, requiring micron-level tolerances. This is a permanent, full-time role ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, hands-on machining environment and takes real pride in producing quality parts to exacting standards. The Role: Setting, operating, and programming Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes. Machining of knife rolls with ultra-fine tolerances measured in lowest of microns. Performing turning, milling, drilling and grinding operations. Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings. Using hand and power tools for final finishing. Carrying out basic machine maintenance (topping up coolants, oils, etc.). Performing self-inspection using measuring equipment (micrometers, gauges, etc.). Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC turning. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Fanuc controls. Proven ability to work with tight tolerances and fine surface finishes. Confident working independently and managing your own workflow. Skilled in reading detailed engineering drawings and quality inspection. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 15:00 Friday: 07:00 - 14:00 (early finish) Salary & Benefits: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Regular hours with early Friday finish.
