Finance AssistantNigel Wright are proudly working with a Sunderland based organisation who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team, initially on a 10 month fixed term contract. This newly created Finance Assistant role is a full time position (37.5 hours) and will sit within their established finance team, supporting their current team with processing and systems. The RoleThis is a varied Finance Assistant role that will cover Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Income Management, Payroll and other adhoc Finance related duties.Typical duties will be:
* Checking, coding and entering purchase invoices
* Supplier statement reconciliation
* Income analysis
* Calculating and raising sales invoices
* Assisting the maintenance of the income contracts register
* Credit control and debt collection
* Assisting with the maintenance of the supplier contracts register
* Petty cash and expenses
* Assisting with monthly payroll processing and payment
* Credit card and purchasing card processing.
* Preparation of journals
* Other adhoc finance duties
The CandidateThe ideal candidate for this role will have:
1. At least 2 years accounts/ finance experience
2. AAT Qualified / or any other related finance qualification
