The role: We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Supplier Manager to join our Information Technology Department on a 12-month fixed term contract. This maternity cover role will be accountable for the management and coordination of key technology supply and outsource relationships, including contract and financial management, supplier governance and service reviews. You will also input into sourcing decisions and management of the procurement process for new suppliers and contract renewals. What will you do: Management of centralised IT supplier catalogue and calendar including maintenance of all contracts and early warning of contract renewal dates. Holding formal service reviews with all key suppliers ensuring that performance is reviewed, under performance is identified and agreed action plans are out in place for recovery; managing out under performing suppliers as necessary. Managing the supplier procurement and onboarding processes including Request for Information through to Request for Purchase and contract review in line with new project demand and contract renewals ensuring that OLAs are met. Building strategic relationships between Simmons & Simmons and its key IT suppliers to develop value add initiatives. Delivering MI on supplier performance against agreed contractual requirements, financial management, customer satisfaction and other key performance indicators. Reviewing the market to ensure that best value is being provided from suppliers as well as products and services. Identify, build and maintain internal stakeholder relationships required to implement supplier management strategies to support the delivery of wider business initiatives, with an increased focus on business impact including commercial, supplier performance and supply chain risk reduction. Feed into the annual budget planning cycle as well as providing supporting information for project estimation those opportunities and to keep us front of mind with clients and prospects. What we are looking for: Have a strong track record of supplier management, including contract management and relationship management. An understanding of technology sourcing. Good stakeholder management skills. Ability to understand, communicate and negotiate contracts, SLAs and KPIs. Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. An enthusiasm to establish/maintain an 'industry awareness' of trends in supplier management. Able to problem solve and facilitate solutions to disagreements. Excellent understanding of ITIL with v3 foundation level as a minimum requirement. A good understanding of project lifecycle methodologies such as Prince 2 and Agile IT best practice frameworks. Effective at building and sustaining relationships across all levels of the organisation, both within IT and beyond. Experience in acting as a point of reference to a delivery team, confident in working and negotiating with technical experts. Excellent written, verbal and presenting skills.
