Key Responsibilities:

Efficient Forklift Operation:
Utilise your expertise in operating counterbalance or reach forklifts to transport goods, raw materials, and finished products safely and efficiently within the warehouse and production areas. Ensure all movements are executed with precision to prevent damage and maintain safety.

Production Support:
Work closely with the production team to ensure a seamless workflow. Assist in the supply of materials to production lines and the removal of finished products, ensuring that production targets are met without compromise on quality or safety.

Loading and Unloading:
Skillfully load and unload goods from delivery trucks, adhering to the company’s safety protocols. Ensure all items are accounted for and accurately placed in their designated storage areas.

Stock Management:
Engage in stock management duties including organising, stacking, and inventory monitoring. Maintain an organised storage system to facilitate easy access and retrieval of goods, supporting an efficient production process.

Safety and Compliance:
Uphold stringent health and safety standards at all times. Regularly inspect forklifts and report any maintenance needs to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Adhere to all regulatory and company-specific safety guidelines.

Documentation and Labelling:
Accurately label goods and manage documentation to facilitate traceability and compliance with internal and external regulations. Ensure all records are meticulously maintained for audit purposes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Certification:
Valid certification to operate either counterbalance or reach forklifts (external accreditation, not in-house).
*
Experience:
Proven experience in operating forklifts within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with production support processes is desirable.

Keen attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different functions, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Physical Fitness:
Excellent physical fitness, capable of handling heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing..
Shift and Pay:
* Shifts: Monday to Thursday 6 am to 4;30 pm / Friday 6 am to 12 pm
* Pay: £14.30 per hour
