Job Overview This role focuses on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The Band 6 Occupational Therapist will manage a complex caseload and play a pivotal role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. Key Responsibilities Handle a diverse caseload of acute neurological and neurosurgical patients. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans for patients with neuro trauma and other neurological conditions. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and medical staff. Apply specialized occupational therapy interventions to facilitate recovery and support patient rehabilitation. Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about rehabilitation goals and long-term management strategies. Requirements HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist. At least 2 years of post-registration experience, with expertise in neurological and neurosurgical rehabilitation. Proven ability to manage a complex caseload in an acute setting. Experience in neuro trauma rehabilitation is highly desirable. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Capability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. NHS or equivalent healthcare setting experience.
