Our client is reputable and established Consultancy firm, offering Cost Management, Planning and Programming, Contract Administration, Health and Safety, and CDM services.
Their Safety division offers a range of health and safety services which help meet the needs of their ever-increasing client base, from principal designer services and CDM support services through to a comprehensive health and safety consultancy, and training services tailored to each client’s particular needs.
This role is to support a large International Tier 1 contractor on a site based role for at least 12-15 months. Thereafter, you will be working alongside the consultancy team remotely.
Consultant Requirements:
* Delivering Health and Safety services to clients including Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, auditing, reporting, and training.
* Acting as the "Competent Person" on behalf of the company for your client portfolio.
* Ensuring all client matters are progressed smoothly and respond to telephone and email queries in a timely fashion.
* Generating and communicating ideas for improvement in service to clients to the Directors.
* Assist in the completion of PQQ/tender documents.
* Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships
Site Based Requirements:
* Conduct site health and safety audits and inspections.
* Advise client on project team capability and management arrangements.
* Provide health and safety advice, guidance, training and support.
* Undertake accident or other special investigations to assist the client as required.
* Attend various meetings and be seen to be part of the construction team.
* Proactively work with the teams in ensuring the high H&S standards are being planned and met throughout the project.
* Assist with the administration of projects and build Health and Safety Files.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of TechIOSH working towards or holding CertIOSH.
* IMaPS or CMaPS status beneficial.
Experience:
* Demonstrable experience providing client-side health and safety services within the construction or property industry preferred.
* Experience working under the CDM Regulations, carrying out roles such as PD, CDM Coordinator or Health and Safety Advisor/Manager to contractors.
* Working knowledge of large scale/complex projects.
* 5+ years within a construction H&S role.
