A Conveyancing Paralegal will assist the Conveyancing Fee Earner and/or Senior Conveyancing Fee Earner with all property and Re-mortgage transactions from start to finish on a file. A varied entry level role with client contact and administrative duties to assist Fee Earners with their file management.
This position is offered as a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship which will last over a period of 24 months and on successful completion of the Level 3 Apprenticeship there may be an opportunity to progress to the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship and a career in the legal sector.
The closing date for this position is Friday 8th November and you must meet the eligibility criteria to be considered. The start date for the position is Monday 13th January 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responding to post, telephone enquiries and queries from Clients.
2. Assisting Fee Earners in the Residential Property department and progressing cases where required.
3. Provide clients and referrers with updates as instructed.
4. Managing legal documentation in strict confidence.
5. Being organised, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic, ability to work under pressure and have good attention to detail.
6. Taking on delegated tasks where required.
7. Carrying out all required administration duties.
8. Ensuring SLAs and compliance are adhered to.
9. Ensuring file checklists are up to date and followed correctly.
10. Undertaking accreditation and internal training within specific timeframes when required.
11. Ensuring client, work provider and third party (where required) communication is dealt with promptly.
12. Using internal and external systems where appropriate and necessary to complete tasks.
13. Adequately communicating with clients, work providers, third parties and other employees during the course of a property transaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Five GCSEs between Grades A*- C (9-4) including English and Maths plus CCC at A Level (96 UCAS points) or equivalent; Between 88-95 UCAS Points PLUS a pass on the BPP Admissions test, completion of another Level 3 Apprenticeship OR completion of relevant level 2 Apprenticeship PLUS a pass on BPP Admissions test.
2. High standard of computer literacy.
3. Must be adaptable and flexible.
4. Must have good time management and organisational skills.
5. Ability to work amidst frequent interruptions whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
