Job Summary
As a Dispensing Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications to our valued customers. You'll be a key part of our innovative online pharmacy, contributing to the smooth running of our pharmacy operations and helping us deliver exceptional service.
Main Responsibilities
Medication Dispensing:
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in dispensing controlled prescription medications to respond to customer orders.
Assist pharmacists in accurately preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
Label and package medications and supplements according to legal and company regulations.
Maintain strict adherence to quality control standards to ensure medication accuracy.
2. Customer Service:
Address customer enquiries, provide information on medication usage, and offer exceptional customer service.
Handle all enquiries and assist with prescription and service related questions.
3. Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, including restocking medications and supplies.
Check for and report expired medications, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
4. Administrative Duties:
Process and update customer profiles and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Handle billing and manage paperwork related to prescriptions.
5. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) for all Get A Drip Pharma regulations and guidelines.
Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
6. Team Collaboration:
Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy and distribution staff to provide seamless service.
Assist with the training of new pharmacy employees, when required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Grade C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English.
NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent Pharmacy Dispensing Course.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Good IT skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
Excellent organisational skills, and a great multi-tasker.
Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to follow safety guidelines.
Experience:
Prior experience of dispensing and stock control work within a pharmacy setting.
Qualities:
Able to work well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to build relationships quickly and work with a range of people to achieve results.
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving pharmaceutical guidelines.
