Who are we?
We want to be the best place that any of our 6,600 colleagues have ever worked. We’re the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business, offering a range of products across our market-leading brands, Standard Life, SunLife, Phoenix Life and ReAssure. Around 1 in 5 people in the UK has a pension with us. We’re a FTSE 100 organisation tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050.
The role
This role will give you the opportunity to work with executive and non-executive directors, providing broad exposure to our workplace propositions and the market we operate in, allowing you to be part of a fast-paced, high-energy work environment.
The role-holder will lead in supporting the activities of the Standard Life Master Trust Trustee Board (SLMTC) and Phoenix Group Independent Governance Committee (IGC). This includes attending relevant board/committee meetings, managing the production of materials required to support SLMTC and IGC (e.g., the chairs annual report, TCFD Annual Report, and IGC Benchmarking activity), and managing relationships with business representatives and external suppliers that support these governance bodies.
This role will report to the Workplace Governance and Policy Lead, require task management of the Proposition Consultant within the team, and involve occasional travel within the UK.
What are we looking for?
* An extensive and in-depth knowledge of workplace pensions, both contract and trust-based.
* Strong relationship management and project management skills.
* A good understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to Master Trust and contracted-based workplace pension schemes.
* A self-motivated individual who can use their own initiative and relationship/project management skills to deliver objectives.
* Knowledge of pension trustee boards and IGC’s core purpose and accountabilities.
We want to hire the whole version of you.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome, and we encourage applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.
If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
Please note that we reserve the right to remove adverts earlier than the advertised closing date. We encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity.
