Job Title: Offshore Production Technician (Gas Processing & Utilities) Location: Offshore (UK Sector) Mobilizes from Blackpool on 2/3 rotation – Morecambe - Offshore Job Type: 6 months initial contract PAYE Sector: Oil & Gas (Exploration & Production) Job Purpose: In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining operational continuity, ensuring product quality, and meeting gas production schedules. You will also provide first-line maintenance support and act as the Intervention Offshore Installation Manager when required. Required Certifications: Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) Helideck Assistant Single & Twin Fall Coxswain Emergency Response Team Member Banksman Offshore First Aid Management of Major Emergencies Offshore Installation Manager Regulations Valid Offshore Survival, Offshore Medical, and MIST certifications are mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Operations & Monitoring: Operate and monitor high-pressure gas production/processing equipment and utilities using on-plant systems and control room equipment. Conduct regular on-site patrols to ensure equipment performance and integrity, recording performance data and reporting as needed. Act as Intervention Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) when required. Perform the role of Area Technician, overseeing activities within your designated area, ensuring adherence to permits, procedures, and work practices. Mechanical Isolating Authority: Apply and test mechanical isolations in your area following company isolation procedures. Assist the Production Team Lead with planning and preparing isolation certificates for maintenance tasks. Permitry & Maintenance Support: Support the Production Team Lead in drawing up Permits to Work for planned and defect maintenance, ensuring safe working conditions and managing the return of equipment to service. Identify and report plant defects, raise work orders, and track their progress through the system. Perform first-line maintenance and remedial tasks, ensuring appropriate records are maintained. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze plant performance data to ensure optimal efficiency, producing reports and recommendations for improvement. Monitor stock levels of chemicals, consumables, and spare parts to ensure continuity of production. HSE & Environmental Compliance: Extract and analyze process material samples, ensuring that product quality and effluent discharges meet specified standards, taking corrective actions as necessary. Develop and review operating procedures to comply with Company HSE standards and statutory requirements. Qualifications & Experience: Educational Background: BTEC Ordinary Certificate or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline. Work Experience: Several years of offshore production experience in the Exploration & Production (E&P) Industry. Key Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of petrochemical process operations and engineering principles. Familiarity with process systems and safety procedures to ensure health, safety, and environmental integrity. Ability to make confident decisions, especially in emergency situations, utilizing training in firefighting, self-contained breathing apparatus, first aid, and offshore emergency response.
