About the role
We are delighted to share a fantastic opportunity to join the Innovation team, for a 6 month fixed term contract, reporting into the Lead Buying Manager for Innovation. You will be part of a team covering a huge spectrum of supplier types from building our accelerator programme ranges working directly with founders and entrepreneurs to fast paced fast innovation and big branded suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about innovation and products and prepared to work at great speed to deliver our huge ambition. It is will provide insight into ways of working for new brands in the business and training in the fundamentals of a Buying role.
You will be responsible for
* Supporting the delivery of innovation ranges and plans for customers Support the Buyer with supplier administration for all Cohorts Build relationships with supplier partners.
* Build relationships with the innovation community creating a presence for Tesco. Negotiate with supplier partners to deliver market leading product costs and investment.
* Negotiate with supplier partners to deliver market leading launch plans for innovation.
* Utilise all category management techniques on price, promotion, events, product innovation, range, space and merchandising to increase sales and profit.
* Deliver sales, profit, margin and outperformance measures as set.
* Adhering to all Tesco policies, storage and handover protocols, and successfully completing my training so that I have zero GSCOP breaches.
* Ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, reporting GSCOP complaints to Legal within 48 hours or receipt and leading a culture of compliance within in my team.
* Following our business code of conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence (all roles).
