The post holder will support the Registered Nurse in ensuring the delivery of high quality patient/client care upholding dignity, delivered with kindness and compassion.
Provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients/clients during a care episode.
Actively contribute to an effective learning environment and support others in their learning. Maintain your own professional competence through on going professional development. Be accountable for your own professional practice and professional revalidation in accordance with The Code (NMC 2015).
You should be aware of your role with regard to the Medicines Code of Practice, complying with all Trust policies and risk assessments with particular regard to the policies and procedures maintaining staff and patient safety.
Communication with the multidisciplinary team is essential in order to promote efficient patient care and maintain effective channels of communication. You should report all accidents and untoward incidents to the nurse in charge and complete an incident form in accordance with Trust policy.
The post holder will promote a team nursing philosophy of care.
