Competitions Executive - 7 month temporary contract to start 1st April 2025 A wonderful opportunity to join the domestic cricket competition operations team in a newly created position. This is a temporary contract starting on 1st April 2025 through until the end of October 2025. This temporary role pays a day rate of £85.47 (7 hours per day) plus holiday pay. This is typically a Monday to Friday role requiring 3 days in the offices (you can be based in either Central London or Manchester, whichever you prefer) and 2 days remote working. In August and September you can expect to attend up to 6 Sundays at regional and national finals. Working closely with a highly experienced domestic cricket operations team you will have responsibility for supporting the administration, coordination and delivery of a range of national recreational competitions as well as the opportunity of supporting the wider domestic cricket operations department across the professional game. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to communicate well with various stakeholders. You will be a self-starter who is quick to learn, is resilient and has a keen eye for detail. Experience in project management/operations management is highly desirable. A driving licence is useful. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the co-ordination of an aligned playing calendar across all relevant competitions. Facilitating and co-ordinating entries through positive relationships with Clubs & Counties creating an appropriate fixture schedule for each specific competition. Supporting the organisation of the Academy fixture schedule. Supporting the day-to-day management of recreational national competitions including the use of relevant platforms. Supporting the co-ordination and management of hotel requirements and bookings for competition Finals. Where relevant, Match Manage Finals with direct responsibility for the co-ordination and management of all aspects on & off the field. Supporting and working within the agreed Domestic Cricket Operations Departmental budget. Where relevant, liaison with the Officiating Department to ensure all competitions have relevant officials appointed and supporting the facilitation of feedback on umpire performance. Developing relationships with relevant external organisations i.e. Counties and Clubs, Teams, Finals venues and stakeholders.
