This role is designed to oversee the strategic growth and efficient day-to-day operations of the School Sport and Post-16 Football departments. The main purpose of the role is to manage a team of three Community Development Managers to deliver strategic growth across the key areas we operate in: Hounslow & Richmond, Ealing & Hillingdon, Berkshire & Surrey. This will predominantly be achieved by our School Sport team, which delivers a range of curriculum PE, extra-curricular clubs and holiday camps. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for managing the football strategy and operations within our Post-16 Football & Education programme. This will involve managing a team of staff to deliver a high-quality football programme that supports students in achieving their education qualifications Responsibilities Post-16 Football Oversee our Premier League PFA funded Post-16 Football programme which includes writing mid-year and end of year reports. Develop a Post-16 football curriculum that can be delivered across our multiple sites. Provide operational leadership to the Post-16 football staff. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with schools and colleges to aid the recruitment and retainment of students enrolled on the programme. Oversee the budget and financial administration of the programme, ensuring accurate reporting and invoicing. School Sport Hold managerial responsibility for our Community Development Managers, ensuring they execute their roles efficiently. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with schools and educational partners. Lead the expanding School Sport department's reach and impact in our key areas. Responsible for efficient management of school contracts, ensuring they are effectively delivered and maintained. In collaboration with our Senior Manager – Recruitment, Training & Development, embed a programme of support to upskill, retain and develop our coaching workforce. General Ensure programmes are aligned with the Trust's mission and community needs. Lead effective communication processes within the department. Maintain oversight of risk assessment processes, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety codes and safeguarding protocols within the department. Oversee the accurate completion of incident report forms and follow-up actions within the department. Foster positive relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior managers, staff, volunteers, and trustees. Represent the Trust at community events, meetings, and forums. Identify, develop, and implement strategies to generate revenue and secure funding for community programmes. Available to work unsocial hours such as evenings and weekends where required. Contribute to the development and enhancement of community sports and development programmes. Monitor programme outcomes and assess their impact. Ensure the safety and well-being of programme participants, following safeguarding policies and procedures. Promote a culture of safeguarding awareness within the organisation. Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately in accordance with established guidelines. Strong experience in management and leading teams Experience of preparing budgets, forecasts and business plans with the impact on cashflows. Ability to analyse business and financial information to present it for the purpose of monitoring and decision making. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams. Knowledge of safeguarding principles and relevant qualifications. FA UEFA C/Level 2 Football (or equivalent) Available to work unsocial hours such as evenings and weekends where required. Desirable: Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, or a related field.
