Credit Manager. Birmingham City Centre. Permanent. Hybrid working. Up to £70,000
Your new company
A large business based in the City Centre of Birmingham is currently recruiting for a Credit Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to 12 credit controllers and overseeing the entire credit process and collection procedures.
Your new role
1. Oversee the entire credit process, including credit risk and collection procedures.
2. Manage a large team of Credit Controllers and mentor and develop the team.
3. Maximise the Credit Control team engagement & motivation, including individual and team development.
4. Ensure all customers are paying on time according to terms, reducing aged debt and minimising the risk of bad debt.
5. Evaluate and approve credit limits for new and existing customers.
6. Continuous improvement of processes.
What you’ll need to succeed
1. Previous experience in a Credit Manager role overseeing the entire credit function.
2. Experience of working in a debt recovery environment.
3. Experience working with offshoring teams.
4. Ability to balance debt recovery action with commercial and cost risk.
5. Experience with new technologies and using AI to improve processes.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
