This is an important role that directly contributes to the profitability of the Company within World Kinect’s Energy Brokerage segment. Within this role you will manage a large commercial client base in all areas of the clients’ energy needs. Providing clients with a single point of contact, to build relationships and provide expert knowledge on the energy markets that builds confidence in our advice to enable clients to sign Gas and Electricity contracts with suppliers well in advance. Key Responsibilities: Book and attend Energy contract renewal meetings with commercial clients, following the company’s renewal procedures and ensuring renewals are signed Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross sell additional products and services that the business offers Complete Client Review Meetings on a regular basis with all clients and provide feedback to relevant colleagues and ensure client retention. Generate leads and gain referrals from new and existing clients for other areas of the business Ensure valid Letters of Authority are held for your entire client base Prepare for meetings with clients by ensuring you have an adequate knowledge of the client’s business activities and you are familiar with the contents of the Energy contracts Ensuring all clients on your allocated list are contacted regularly via face to face meetings, telephone/video calls and emails to maintain the company profile, develop and maintain client relationships Circulating information gained on clients internally, to ensure colleagues are aware of relevant information Ensuring the CRM system is fully updated and maintained with all client contact, including outcome of meetings and any follow up criteria Attend to any customer queries or issues and liaise with Client Services to keep informed Be able to speak on the Energy markets with knowledge and expertise. Actively monitor trading screens and market intelligence to look for opportunities for clients to sign Energy contract renewals Maintain effective communication with all departments within the business Produce and prepare reports as required in full and on time Attend external seminars and conferences as and when required Participate in ongoing training and development both on and off site Attend and fully participate in regular performance reviews, one to one meetings and company appraisal system Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the business Provide support to colleagues and Directors as and when required. Person Specification: Essential Skills Commercial Know-How: Managing value, understanding of the Energy market place including the main fundamental drivers of energy prices, the make up of energy bills, etc. as well as a thorough understanding our company, and our customer needs and requirements. Understanding of great customer service and the ability to deliver. Knowledge and understanding of key business performance indicators, and the ability to deliver against these. Highly articulate with a clear telephone manner Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Excellent sales and negotiation skills Proven track record of ability to develop strong business relationships Good work ethic, highly self-motivated, and positive Ability to organise and manage own workload Creative and able to implement initiatives to improve sales techniques. Ability to effectively communicate information and knowledge assertively, whilst demonstrating empathy with customers and colleagues. Ability to prioritise deliverables and plan accordingly. Ability to manage change and capacity to work flexibly. The successful candidate must have a valid UK Driving licence and be willing to travel frequently, both to prospects/customers and the Company’s office locations across the UK. Minimum two years’ experience of working in a sales environment with extensive email / telephone / face to face contact with clients would be advantageous.
