Responsibilities:
1. Taking a leading role in the delivery of key Platform Monitoring and Control (PM&C) scope as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
2. Working with stakeholders at various levels across the Hunter Programme.
3. Providing specialist engineering expertise to review supplier deliverables and resolve technical issues.
4. Developing, maturing, and integrating the controls and monitoring design solution into the Wholeship Platform Design, both functionally and physically.
5. Supporting the PM&C team in Australia in resolving technical queries with UK counterparts and the supplier, and representation of PM&C to UK program stakeholders.
6. Liaising with project management and supply chain stakeholders, providing technical support for supplier engineering change proposals.
Experience:
1. Experience working on complex system design within a Marine or Defence environment.
2. Previous experience in the initial stages of the design lifecycle.
3. Ability to work autonomously and liaise with stakeholders at various levels.
Desirable:
1. Proven capability in the design of Control Monitoring and/or Instrumentation Systems.
2. Large scale complex programme experience.
3. Experience in complex physical and functional integration of systems.
4. Knowledge of other combat system equipment and/or knowledge of auxiliary, electrical or HVAC systems.
Qualifications:
Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline. Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution.
