As our Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will oversee financial planning, analysis, and management, ensuring that our operations align with our strategic goals. You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Accountant and leadership team to provide insights that drive key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accountable for all company financial activities and operations, and for regulatory compliance.
2. Ensure key assumptions, risks, and opportunities influencing business and project performance are rigorously evaluated, clearly understood, and proactively managed.
3. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic financial plans that reflect the organisation’s ambitions and objectives.
4. Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, risks, and cost-saving initiatives.
5. Identify and recommend opportunities for additional revenue streams and business expansion.
6. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and ensure optimal working capital.
7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies, and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
8. Partner with department heads to align financial goals with business operations.
9. Present financial reports to the executive team, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
10. Optimise the pricing of the company’s services, products, and assets.
11. Work closely with the Senior Accountant and manage the finance team.
12. Ensure all critical financial issues are addressed with zero errors and all finance and regulatory deadlines are met.
13. Track and understand the regulatory environment for risks and opportunities to the business.
14. Manage relationships with financial counterparties, and develop new sources of project and business financing.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AIA or ICAEW qualification is preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in financial management or a similar role.
3. Strong business acumen with in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Results-driven leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide financial decision-making.
5. Exceptional analytical and organisational abilities.
