Children and Young People's Support Worker
As a leading care agency specialising in temporary recruitment Nurseplus are looking for Children’s and Young People Support Worker’s. You should be highly motivated, committed and have a genuine interest in delivering the highest quality of care for children and young people. With Nurseplus you will work across a variety of settings including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging behaviour, Education and Residential.
Your job role as a Children and Young People’s Support Worker will involve you working closely with children in care and putting them at the centre of everything you do. Your day to day role will require you to support them in all aspects of their lives such as educational pursuits, hobbies and activities
Your experience and support will be influential in developing and contributing towards positive outcomes to help shape the future of children and young people.

Responsibilities of a Children and Young People’s Support Worker :
7. To support, safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
8. Assist with daily routines which may include working in the community and/or educational setting
9. Organising and facilitating social activities
10. Transportation
11. Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
12. Offer high levels of supervision and support
13. Working in line with Ofsted
14. Manage complex behaviours and crisis intervention
15. Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
What Nurseplus needs from you as a Children and Young Peoples Support Worker:
16. A minimum of 6 months experience working within a child and/or young adults setting
17. All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
18. At least 6 months UK based care experience
19. Have the right to work in the UK
20. Knowledge in one of the following areas EBD, SEMH, CSE and SEND
21. A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively
22. Desirable - Diploma 3 / 4 qualification in Health and Social Care/ Residential Care
23. An enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration (to be paid in full at a £45.40 fee with a full refund after a set period of work*)
