Reed Practice are delighted to be acting as primary agency to a local and highly reputable chartered accountancy firm located in the heart of Suffolk, to recruit an experienced Payroller.
Our client has been established for many decades – but excels in moving with the times - and offers expertise to an ever-expanding range of clients.
This position can be full-time, divided into three days of payroll and two days of bookkeeping, or we will be interested in speaking to those seeking part-time (3 days) as just undertaking payroll duties.
Key Payroll Duties:
1. Managing circa 60 payrolls, consisting of a combination of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly; the vast majority will be monthly with a few weekly runs.
2. Calculating SSP and SMP; the majority of calculations will be done in Sage Payroll with manual computations only for special, ad-hoc projects.
3. Advising clients on various aspects of payroll, subject to your experience.
For those seeking full-time work, bookkeeping tasks will include standard trial balance, preparing and submitting VAT returns, reconciliations, managing client queries, and so on.
We are looking for candidates who have provided payroll services to multiple clients, be it in practice or bureau; however, we will also consider those in industry who have run payroll for multiple divisions within a group.
The salary will reflect the experience of the successful candidate.
