We’re searching for a confident, organised, and commercially savvy Project Manager to lead shopfitting projects up to £1m for a prestigious Tier 1 building engineering contractor delivering high-quality work for big-name clients like Tesco, Morrisons, ASDA, and more. These are fast-track, high-standards environments where attention to detail and the ability to lead a team are key. The right Project Manager will have a background in shopfitting, ideally within a main contractor or fit-out specialist. You’ll need to be South Yorkshire-based, and enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working when not on-site or in meetings. What You’ll Be Doing – Project Manager Responsibilities Leading and delivering shopfitting projects up to £1m in value Liaising with blue-chip retail clients and managing expectations Overseeing all site activities to ensure deadlines are met Coordinating trades, subcontractors, and suppliers Managing health & safety, site compliance and best practices Programming works and tracking progress Budget control and reporting on cost performance Conducting site meetings and reporting project updates Managing site logistics and material deliveries Resolving on-site issues and keeping works moving Supporting project handovers and snagging Ensuring a high standard of finish and client satisfaction What We’re Looking For A proven Project Manager with shopfitting experience Experience delivering fast-paced projects, ideally in food retail Confident managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines Solid understanding of fit-out logistics and subcontractor management Based in South Yorkshire, with flexibility to travel to sites when needed Strong leadership, communication, and organisation skills What You’ll Get £55k–£60k basic salary (DOE) Company car or allowance Company performance bonus Private healthcare & pension Generous holiday entitlement Hybrid working and flexible hours Supportive, down-to-earth team environment This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Project Manager to work with a blue-chip contractor known for its quality, reliability, and people-first culture.
