Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent and full time (35 hours per week)
Are you passionate about visual presentation and online content? We're seeking a Digital Art Editor to join our dynamic Pharmaceutical Journal Team.
As Digital Art Editor, you'll be responsible for the look and feel of The Pharmaceutical Journal (The PJ) website and the brand’s overall visual style. The successful applicant will ensure that the visual elements of our content are delivered to a high standard, reflecting the quality of our articles through designing or commissioning relevant infographics and illustrations.
Requirements:
1. Background in graphic design, with relevant qualifications;
2. Creative, with a highly developed visual sense;
3. Working knowledge of web publishing and HTML, specifically Wordpress;
4. Working knowledge of Flourish;
5. Adept at Adobe Creative Suite;
6. Strong communication skills;
7. Project management skills;
8. Budget management;
9. Information visualisation;
10. Picture research and commissioning;
11. An understanding of changing trends in digital publishing.
The Team
The PJ is the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s official journal, providing information and analysis on the latest advances in pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical science.
This role sits within the production team, and The PJ has two editorial teams; one for news & views and one for learning & research.
How we are currently working
RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home; however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office.
