Autism Support Worker - Market Weighton
Location: Market Weighton, East Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time considered)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with autism? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Autism Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Market Weighton area.
This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), or someone eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
About the Role:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism
2. Assist with classroom activities and promote an inclusive learning environment
3. Help manage behaviour and encourage positive social interaction
4. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external agencies
5. Support students' emotional, social and academic development
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with individuals with autism or additional needs (preferred)
2. A caring, patient and resilient attitude
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. A proactive approach to supporting learning and well-being
5. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
