About the Role At Nottingham City Council, we are dedicated to providing housing solutions and support to our citizens. Housing Solutions plays a pivotal role in preventing homelessness and ensuring that all citizens in housing need or crisis receive the assistance they require. We are currently looking for a motivated and empathetic Housing Casework Officers to become valuable members of our statutory homelessness team. You will assist in the allocation of temporary accommodation used by citizens in housing crisis and be responsible for providing housing advice and assistance, helping prevent homelessness and assisting in the allocation and management of temporary and permanent accommodation used by homeless citizens and those in housing need. Key priorities for the post-holder will include; Good operational working knowledge of Homelessness and associated legislation and an ability to advise on and decision any duties owed to citizens Effectively manage a complex workload under pressure meeting specified targets and deadlines whilst demonstrating attention to detail, prioritisation and self-organisation skills Commitment to providing a high quality customer focussed service Evidence of working successfully in partnership across different sectors, building and maintaining good working relationships Ability to assess property for design, space, state of repair and location for suitability A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
