About the Role
The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces. To support the Head of Finance in the production of the Management Accounts, with a focus on ensuring both the reporting of sales statistics and sales revenue accurately reflects the activities of the business. To assist in accounting matters commensurate to skills and experience. To ensure that all relevant team members are appropriately trained to handle work in absence.

Primary Responsibilities
* Assisting with the production of the month end accounts and month end reconciliations.
* Oversee revenue reconciliation and prepare revenue journals to include deferred income calculations, package profit, and allocations between department revenue streams.
* Able to carry out and oversee daily cash flows management, daily banking and reconciliation of payments.
* Examine and review all aspects of the revenue audit and reporting process.
* Ensure that all internal control procedures are adhered to and subsequently follow up with HoDs if best operating procedure isn't being followed.
* Equally, ensure that all financial regulations are met through the maintenance of adequate systems of internal control.
* To produce supporting documentation, if needed, to help assist in the training of processes both within the Finance team and the operational departments.
* Assist with production of year-end accounts and schedules.
* Maintain balance sheet accounts, including fixed asset and depreciation schedules for review by the Head of Finance.
* Assist with providing full and accurate forecasting and budgeting.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Profit and Loss accounts including the analysis and interpretation of financial information. Following this interpretation, assist with putting action plans in place with necessary departments to maximise profitability of the business.
* To oversee the accounts team and cover absences where required; deputising for the Head of Finance in their absence.
Working Relationships and Communication
* Collaborate with and coordinate with a diverse range of teams (Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR and IT).
* To question SLT/HODs when financial reports suggest an area for improvement or a problem in that department's performance.
* Give non-financial departments any information and assistance that they require to improve the performance of their departments.
The Ideal Candidate
* Ideally AAT/ACCA Qualified or equivalent experience
* Strong Excel knowledge and analytical skills
* Experience working in a busy environment
* Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
* Ability to assimilate information
* Strong communications skills - written and verbal
* Previous hotel experience would be desirable
