Salary: SCP26 A GBP 36,124 : SCP28 A GBP 37,938 per annum, Pro Rata; A GBP 32,006 : A GBP 33,919 per annum
The High School is a small yet vibrant school situated in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside. With an idyllic rural location, they are less than 30 minutes drive from Norwich, offering the perfect balance of peaceful surroundings and easy access to the city.
Currently, they have around 500 students aged between 11 and 16 years. The Role
They are looking for a hard:working and enthusiastic person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with others as part of their school as the Key Stage 4 Pastoral Lead. As the Key Stage 4 Pastoral Lead you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding pastoral support is available for all students. You will also lead on developing a culture that enables all students to maximise their achievements across every aspect of school life. You will contribute effectively to the management of their pastoral care system and to the achievement of the schools values and beliefs.
Key Responsibilities
* To be the first point of contact for parents/carers, in relation to student behaviour and barriers to learning.
* Provide pastoral support for KS4 promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive culture within KS4.
* Designated Safeguarding Lead for KS4.
* Develop and strengthen close working relationships with parents and carers.
* Ensure school and Trust systems are adhered to regarding attendance and behaviour.
* Support students and liaise closely with their parents to ensure they display excellent timekeeping, attendance, behaviour and that they dress appropriately.
* To ensure all student records are kept up to date and that relevant information is disseminated to appropriate staff.
* To ensure appropriate arrangements for students who are unwell, not attending or who have accidents, e.g. work sent home and home visits.
* To assist with events such as medicals, injections and student photos.
* To initiate strategies in conjunction with senior staff and agencies, e.g. letters home and visits.
* To carry out group work and individual meetings with students and their families who require support with their attendance or behaviour.
* Line manage members of the Pastoral Administration team.
* To support the analysis of trends by utilising collected data.

The qualifications and experience required of a Key Stage 4 Pastoral Lead are:
* A minimum of a grade C / 4, or equivalent, in English and Maths GCSE.
* Experience or understanding of how to implement, sustain and improve an effective behaviour policy.
* A proven track record of providing excellent pastoral support.
* Excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills.
* Effective and systematic behaviour management.
