About the Role: We are seeking a talented and experienced ERP Solutions Architect with Agriculture Industry experience to join our dynamic consulting team and help deliver impactful, sustainable solutions to our clients.
As an ERP Solutions Architect, you will play a key role i n advising and implementing ERP solutions that optimize farm management, logistics, and supply chain operations, helping businesses enhance efficiency and streamline their processes. Your knowledge of the agriculture industry and technical background will enable our clients to transform their business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve long-term growth in the ever-evolving agriculture sector. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique needs, offering strategic insights and delivering customized solutions that optimize their operations and drive long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
* ERP System Assessment & Evaluation for Acquired Entities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of ERP systems from newly acquired agricultural entities, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and integration opportunities. Assess the compatibility of the acquired systems with current organizational processes and recommend improvements or upgrades where necessary.
* ERP Strategy Development & Roadmap Creation: Lead the development of a strategic ERP roadmap for the organization, factoring in future growth and evolving agricultural industry trends. This includes outlining a clear path for system upgrades, new integrations, and processes that align with the organization’s long-term goals.
* Customization vs. Best Practice Alternatives: Compare the benefits and drawbacks of custom-developed ERP solutions versus established industry best practices or pre-built ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle). Provide recommendations for adopting the best approach for long-term scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness in the agriculture sector.
* Ongoing Optimization: Assess and improve existing ERP systems, identifying opportunities for process enhancements to keep pace with the evolving agricultural sector.
* Project Oversight: Oversee ERP projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
* Data Management and Analytics: Lead the creation of data strategies, ensuring ERP data is accurate, easily accessible, and valuable for decision-making and business insights.
* Documentation & Best Practices: Ensure the comprehensive documentation of all ERP systems, including configurations, workflows, and integrations. Promote ERP best practices within the organization to ensure the system is optimized, secure, and up-to-date.
* Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify potential risks in ERP projects—such as data breaches, system failures, or integration challenges—and develop strategies to address and minimize these risks.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Agriculture, or a related field.
* Certified in Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, and Oracle SaaS ERP with extensive experience in ERP implementation, customization, and integration within the agriculture industry; strong expertise in supply chain management, production, and logistics, and a deep understanding of agricultural processes and technologies.
* Expertise in crafting ERP strategies, particularly in developing roadmaps for ERP systems tailored to meet the business requirements of agricultural organizations. This involves considering future growth, scalability, and the specific operational needs of the agriculture industry.
* Ability to assess and compare custom-developed ERP solutions with established best-practice alternatives to provide consultancy on which solution is the most efficient and cost-effective. Experience in recommending improvements and guiding clients on choosing the right ERP system or enhancing their existing one based on Agriculture industry-specific needs.
* Proven experience as an ERP Consultant, specializing in evaluating, configuring, customizing, and deploying ERP systems within the agriculture sector. This includes a strong focus on assessing and integrating ERP solutions for newly acquired entities, understanding their unique needs, and ensuring seamless integration into existing ERP systems.
* Strong knowledge of ERP functionalities, modules, and best practices, specifically related to agricultural processes such as farm management, crop planning, inventory management, and supply chain logistics. A focus on aligning ERP capabilities with industry-specific needs is crucial
* Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues within ERP systems. Ability to pinpoint areas for improvement based on the specific needs of agricultural businesses and provide effective, practical solutions.
* Experience in implementing data privacy measures, ensuring the protection of sensitive agricultural data, and ensuring compliance with relevant privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Ability to advise on best practices for securing data and maintaining compliance in agriculture-focused ERP implementations.
* Understand the privacy and confidentiality of clients (will be under NDA).
