SEN Teaching Assistant - Wantage - ASAP Start
Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in a Primary school in Wantage for a SEN Teaching Assistant. They are currently searching for a teaching assistant to join them ASAP. The vacancy involves working within a Year 1 or 4 class to support on a 1-2-1 basis with a pupil with Autism or another with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting ASD or SEMH 1-2-1 in a mainstream primary school.
2. Working with challenging behaviour.
3. Assisting children with EHCPs.
Qualifications:
1. Educated to a degree level (Level 3 and above accepted).
2. Experience working within a primary, secondary or SEN school is desirable.
3. Strong background in Maths and English.
4. Experience with children in a classroom, sports, childcare, or similar environment.
Position Details:
This is a full-time position with hours from 8.30am - 3:30pm. The daily pay rate varies between £89-£90 per day depending on experience.
