The Role This Test & Commissioning Engineer position sits within our bespoke engineering solutions side of the business, where we develop life-support systems in critical workspace, oxygen and carbon capture-based solutions, water purification, rugged electronics for harsh environments and precision engineering of high-integrity equipment. The purpose of the Test & Commissioning Engineer will provide the testing and commissioning of CMS2’s air purification equipment to the highest of quality and in accordance with the company procedures, customer standards and regulatory requirements. The main responsibilities of this role are: Set-up, configure and test, commission and maintain complex process equipment. Pneumatic and hydraulic Pressure Testing of high- and low-pressure vessels under PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) compliance. Electrical testing – Low & High Voltage (3 phase) circuits, Insulation Resistance & Earth Bond Testing, working with oscilloscopes to capture analogue and digital signals. Fault finding, diagnosis and problem solving of electro-mechanical systems. Seek to develop and increase efficiency of test methodology including prototyping. Maintain issues log for lessons learned and to support continuous improvement. Travel to various sites across the country to support the UK Nuclear Program (CASD). Occasional travel abroad to support overseas customers. Adherence to 5S Practice and compliance to ISO 9001 Quality Management System. About You Hold an NVQ/HNC or higher qualification in engineering or an apprenticeship in relevant engineering field. (BEng, MEng, HND etc…) Previous test & commissioning experience in a highly regulated industry preferred (eg: process engineering). Strong commitment to health and safety, environment, and quality. Ability to read and interpret documents such as process engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures. Good hands on electrical/ mechanical skills. Must be able to work efficiently as part of a team and to work under pressure in a challenging environment. Excellent attention to detail. Flexibility, enthusiasm, self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative. Willing to travel occasionally, sometimes with short notice.
