Job summary
The roleinvolves undertaking ADHD assessments for adults and young people, makingdiagnoses, providing medication treatment and reviews where indicated, andpsycho-social ADHD interventions (groups for people diagnosed with ADHD ortheir parents).
The postholder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. There is also anexpectation to advise and support colleagues; and to ensure the high-qualitydelivery of our ADHD pathways, leading to positive outcomes for the client.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist assessment and intervention for ADHD.
2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices for individuals with ADHD.
3. Coordinate medication management and support its transition to primary care.
4. Contribute to governance, audit, and data reporting.
5. Stay up to date with the latest research and advancements in ADHD treatments and interventions.
6. Write and review prescriptions in line with NICE guidance.
Requirements
7. Experience of assessing and diagnosing ADHD
8. Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage own caseload
9. Relevant experience of ADHD treatment and medication management in a specialist ADHD service
10. Independent Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification
11. Experience carrying out remote assessments
12. A genuine passion for working with individuals affected by ADHD and improving their quality of life.
