I am seeking a Health & Safety and Fire Consultant to support our team in providing comprehensive safety initiatives for our diverse clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about workplace safety and has a desire to empower businesses to prioritise employee wellbeing. Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be home based in the Midlands or South-East regions and be travelling for 2-3 days per week. Overview: Conduct thorough Health & Safety audits, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Complete fire risk assessments to proactively mitigate fire risks and safeguard lives and property. Undertake comprehensive risk assessments, developing and implementing effective controls to minimize workplace hazards. Develop clear, concise, and actionable safety policies and procedures to foster a safe and healthy work environment. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert H&S advice and support to a wide range of clients, empowering them to prioritise employee wellbeing. Prepare and deliver high-quality reports and training materials, including IOSH Managing Safely courses, to keep clients informed and ensure compliance. Knowledge & Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in H&S principles. GradIOSH membership with a demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development by working towards CMIOSH. NEBOSH Fire Safety qualification (or equivalent), showcasing specialized knowledge in fire risk management. Essential Skills: Proven experience within a health and safety consultancy environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build strong relationships and convey complex H&S information. The ability to thrive in both a collaborative team environment and independently, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
